The Watchmen

For the American series The Watchmen, we drew in 3D an incubator to look as though it was made by cobbling together sourced parts, consisting of a steel internal frame and supports, clad with a GRP skin and a Perspex dome. The cogs meshed and were powered by remote control motors. Internally, the central steel assembly rotated and was surrounded by another frame containing thousands of LED lights to simulate heating elements. The main supports were clad in CNC machined Chemiwood, and hundreds of rivets were drilled and glued into position. Realistic wooden and metal finishes were created by our scenic painters. Authentic dials and gauges were sourced, some from America.
