Clash of Clans

For Blinkink's Director Sam Gainsborough, we were tasked with fabricating the majority of the gingerbread buildings for the set. The production team supplied 3D files of all the design elements. We CNC machined them from this data in low-density Chemiwood, which was finished by hand to achieve the authentic gingerbread textures and icing. We also baked and iced four real central yule log cakes, matching our model version, and exploded them with remote-controlled pyrotechnics. This was shot in slow motion, as well as the rest of the village, which was exploded for the finale.
