Taskmaster Series 11 Promo

ANARCHY was tasked by Simon Davies with turning around an 11ft tall statue of Greg Davies in an ambitious timeframe. Channel 4 provided reference pictures of Greg on his throne at the outset of the job. We needed more views of his head to enable us to digitally sculpt this, but Greg was at home isolating, so he kindly took selfies posing for us, which worked perfectly. Alex, the director, also adopted the pose required for a picture with a pineapple and a sword.

Armed with this information, over the next few days, we digitally sculpted the throne and body for approval, and began programming the CNC machine and cutting. The material is called Chemiwood, and it machines beautifully. As the parts come off the machine, they are assembled and glued by hand. Final sanding and fine sculpting are finished by hand. We were digitally sculpting the head concurrently due to the time constraints, and once the final version was approved, we machined it and added it to the body.
