Death to 2020

Adam Nevill contacted us late in the year during heavy COVID-19 restrictions with a very adventurous project and timeline for Cold War Steve's Death to 2020. We had just over a week to design, build, and rig a huge wall to destroy it. The wall was built from individually CNC machined foam blocks and painted to appear like breeze blocks. The approach required transporting the entire wall in sections and erecting it in the studio. The artwork was pasted and hung from a massive scaffold rig that we designed to also house the air mortars. The mortars were filled with crushed and painted material. We blasted the wall to pieces to a countdown. It felt great to blow 2020 away!
