Aldi 2019 Christmas Ad

We created the background set for the Lidl Christmas advert starring Kevin the Carrot. The characters were all created in CG, complemented with our circus tent and flooring for added realism. The tent was made in GRP with CNC machined plywood end sections and bolted together to give a seamless look. Each section was hoisted into place with a block and tackle, and exterior scaffolding was added for safety. These sections were painted in situ with the distinctive red stripes using a CNC machined laser jig. The floor was created using real sand, with the central disc artworked to finish. We also covered the exterior snow effects.
